The live class is closed.  The recorded course is still available.

Students will receive thirty weeks of instruction from Units 1 – 9 of the Institute for Excellence in Writing Structure and Style Syllabus, providing them experience in various types of composition.  Lessons will give students an opportunity to practice these units at a more complex level than the Elementary 1 and 2 courses.  Lessons will include creating outlines, writing summaries and reports, summarizing and critiquing stories, and composing essays. Students will also have an opportunity to prepare and present a short exposition to the class. Techniques for improving word choice and sentence structure will continue to be taught.  Each session lasts approximately one hour.
